Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ReachSWE collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our website, dashboard, contact unlocks, resume review services, credit system, billing features, and related services.
By using ReachSWE, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, information created through your use of the Service, and limited information from third-party services you choose to connect or use.
2. Account information
When you sign in with Google or another supported authentication provider, we may receive your name, email address, profile image, authentication provider ID, and related account metadata. We use this information to create and secure your ReachSWE account.
3. Profile and onboarding information
We collect profile details you choose to provide, including your major, university, graduation year, target roles, target companies, interests, GitHub URL, LinkedIn URL, and other career-related information.
We use this information to personalize your dashboard, improve contact recommendations, support resume-based matching, generate outreach drafts, and operate the Service.
4. Resume uploads
If you upload a resume, we store the file and may process its contents to provide resume review services, improve contact matching, generate outreach drafts, or support other ReachSWE features.
Your resume is stored in private storage and is not publicly accessible. It may be accessed by you, authorized ReachSWE administrators, service providers that help us operate the Service, and resume reviewers if you purchase a resume review.
5. Usage information
We collect information about how you use ReachSWE, including pages viewed, searches performed, contacts unlocked, credits granted or spent, bounce reports submitted, resume review status, billing actions, account settings changes, and other product activity.
We use this information to operate the Service, maintain credit balances, prevent abuse, improve product performance, debug issues, provide support, and understand aggregate usage.
6. Contact unlocks and contact data
ReachSWE may provide access to professional contact information after a user unlocks a contact with credits. Contacts that you have not unlocked do not expose their email address or protected contact details to your account.
We track which contacts you unlock so we can display your unlocked history, prevent duplicate charges, support bounce reports, enforce usage limits, and investigate misuse.
7. Credit and transaction information
We collect and store credit-related activity, including signup credits, weekly credits, subscription credit grants, unlock spends, refunds, admin adjustments, and related ledger entries.
This information is used to maintain accurate balances, prevent double-spending, process refunds, detect abuse, and provide account support.
8. Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe or another third-party payment processor. ReachSWE does not directly store full credit card numbers. We may store payment-related metadata such as Stripe customer IDs, subscription IDs, plan status, billing status, checkout events, and transaction references.
We use payment information to process subscriptions, one-time purchases, billing portal access, failed-payment notices, cancellations, plan changes, and customer support.
9. Emails and communications
We may send transactional emails related to your account, purchases, credits, resume review status, payment failures, bounce refunds, product updates, security notices, and support requests.
We may use providers such as Resend or similar email services to deliver these messages. You may not be able to opt out of essential transactional or security-related emails while you maintain an account.
10. Device, log, and security information
We may collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, referring URLs, timestamps, request logs, error logs, and approximate location derived from IP address.
We use this information to secure the Service, prevent fraud, enforce rate limits, detect suspicious behavior, troubleshoot errors, and improve reliability.
11. Anti-abuse and fraud prevention
To protect ReachSWE, contact recipients, and other users, we may use information such as IP address, account history, resume hashes, device or browser signals, usage patterns, credit activity, and bounce reports to detect abuse, duplicate accounts, free-credit farming, scraping, spam, fraud, or policy violations.
We may restrict, suspend, block free credits, require additional verification, or terminate accounts that appear abusive, fraudulent, automated, or harmful.
12. How we use information
We use collected information to:
- create and manage user accounts;
- provide contact search, contact unlocks, credits, and unlocked-contact history;
- process subscriptions, one-time purchases, cancellations, and refunds;
- provide resume review services;
- generate or personalize outreach-related features;
- send transactional emails and account notices;
- provide customer support;
- secure the Service and prevent abuse;
- analyze aggregate usage and improve ReachSWE;
- comply with legal, billing, tax, and security obligations.
13. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate ReachSWE, including hosting providers, database providers, authentication providers, payment processors, email providers, analytics providers, file storage providers, and AI or resume-processing providers.
We may also share information if required by law, to protect ReachSWE, to enforce our Terms of Service, to prevent fraud or abuse, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
14. Third-party services
ReachSWE may use third-party services such as Supabase, Stripe, Resend, Vercel, Google, and other providers. These services may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.
If you interact with third-party services through ReachSWE, your use of those services may be governed by their separate policies.
15. AI and automated processing
ReachSWE may use AI or automated systems to parse resumes, generate outreach drafts, summarize profile details, suggest contact matches, detect abuse, or improve product features.
AI-generated output may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing any outreach drafts, resume suggestions, or generated content before using them.
16. Data retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain business records, comply with legal and billing obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our Terms, prevent abuse, and improve ReachSWE.
Some information may remain in backups, logs, payment records, security records, or legal records for a limited period even after account deletion.
17. Account deletion
You may delete your account from Account Settings if that feature is available. Account deletion may remove or disable access to your profile, resume, credits, unlocked contacts, resume review status, uploaded files, and related account data.
Deleting your account does not necessarily delete records we are required or permitted to keep for billing, legal, tax, security, backup, fraud prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.
18. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect user information, including private storage for resumes, authentication controls, database permissions, rate limits, and access restrictions.
However, no online service is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure will never occur.
19. Your choices
You may update certain profile information from your account settings. You may also replace your resume, manage billing through the billing portal, cancel subscriptions, or delete your account when those features are available.
You may contact us to request help accessing, correcting, or deleting information associated with your account.
20. Children's privacy
ReachSWE is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information to ReachSWE, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
21. International users
ReachSWE is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.
22. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the Service or by email.
23. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact us at kavuri.suhas@gmail.com.
